Light Distribution:
Betta 144 uses 144 LEDs and has a light distribution angle of 140 degrees. Illumination is 25 lux at 6 meters on the centerline. As a result the demonstrated area coverage per light is 285 square meters, or a distance between perimeter lighting poles of 30 meters.
Power Replenishment and Consumption:
The power system is optimally balanced and replenishes energy to the batteries through a 45 Watt solar panel, while the LEDs consume less than 10Watt.
The batteries are charged through sunlight and the charging function is effective, even in cloudy conditions, though at a lower rate.
An indication of the system’s robustness is that the lights are fully functional for 54 hours when the charging function is disabled.
Battery Insulation
To protect the batteries against the effects of temperature fluctuations, the batteries are insulated with polyurethane foam boards and an additional battery box roof, thereby extending the battery life significantly.
Panel Orientation
The solar panels are orientated to the optimum direction through the adjustable bracket system. It is designed to capture optimum energy anywhere in the world through changing of the panel angles.
Tamper Proof
The system is easy to install and support. Because of the expensive nature of the batteries and solar panels, effective anti-theft measures are build into the system.
Environment
The applicable system elements are rated to conform to IP65.The brackets are electro galvanized and powder coated to ensure corrosion resistance.The lights and solar panels are hail, wind and excessive temperature fluctuation resistant.
Mounting Pole
The mounting poles should have a top carrying capacity of 60 kg and a top diameter of 76 mm.
Certifications andTests
Applicable Betta 144 system elements carry certifications or OEM tests in respect of: CE; RSA-CEF; IP65; Hail resistance, wind resistance and temperature fluctuations. Our supply factories are ISO9000 Certificated.
ABOUT STREET LIGHTING:
The product has been designed on the same technical building blocks of the Industrial Security Light Solution which is found to be stable, robust and flexible for off-grid street lights, as well as for parking areas at shopping centers and head offices. The system consists of the following configuration choices; namely a solution with 1 x solar panel, 1 x battery box, and 1 or 2 LED lights on a single pole, or a solution with 2 x solar panels, 2 x battery boxes and 4 x LED lights connected to the bracket system.
ABOUT EXTERIOR SECURITY LIGHTING AND BILLBOARD:
This robust external LED flood light has been designed to illuminate external areas and perimeters. It can replace grid-powered lighting or be installed as a green fields solution and compares favorably with the lifecycle cost of on-grid solutions. Typical applications are the illumination of security fencing, external areas, parking grounds and garages, walkways, areas not economically serviceable by grid electricity, buildings and billboards. The security light charges when there is sunlight or cloudy conditions and functions up to 54 hours, should light be switched on and the solar panel is unplugged. The probability of not having light available is slim. The LEDs have a light distribution angle of 140 degrees. Illumination is 25 lux at 6 meters on the centerline. As a result the demonstrated area coverage per light is 285 square meters, or a distance between perimeter lighting poles of 30 meters. The External Security Light consists of the following components:
- 1 x light configured with 144 High Power wide angle (140 degrees) LEDs in an IP 65 aluminum light housing.
- 1 x tamper proof adjustable electro-galvanized & external powder coated mounting bracket set.
- 1 x Battery box with built in controller, double lid insulation and insulated with polyurethane. Electro-galvanized & external powder coated.
- 1 x Solar panel The system should be mounted on a 6m galvanized pole with 76mm diameter at the top and 127mm diameter at the bottom with a carrying capacity of 60kg. The system is configurable as a single system or as a dual system where 2 systems are mounted on one pole.
